Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR):
As an organisation, CSR is very important to us. We are committed to ethical and sustainable business practices. This means that we take account of our social, economic and environmental impact.
CSR is good for the planet, our members, visitors and the communities across the UK. At Accountable UK, we believe in operating in an ethical manner and to actively better our society. By providing and growing this service, we believe that our members will be more representative of society and we will all be empowered to shape and influence our future and the future of the UK.
Ethical behaviour is the key to achieving this. We embody logical and common sense decision making, underpinned by the protections of the law. We do not believe that these principles are employed in our society and we aim to change that. What better way than to employ these values in a platform that serves the voice of the people, rather than those who claim to represent them. We would rather hear from the people than their representatives and this is what Accountable UK will deliver.
Our CSR Commitment:
Loyalty to our Members:
All votes cast by our members will be respected regardless of the topic. Your vote will not be shared with anyone, whether it be the media, think tanks, lobby groups or any other group. All votes will be treated in the strictest confidence. Just like any Ballot Paper, we will guarantee One Person, One Vote for every voting topic on our platform.
We continuously review and evaluate our processes to discover new ways to improve our service. Our responsibility is to our members. So, we will listen to what our members tell us about our platform and we will always consider their suggestions to improve.
Please email us via the contact form if you have any suggestions for how Accountable UK can be improved to better represent you.
We will prioritise the impact of our business on the environment and will follow the principle of the 3 Rs:
- Reducing waste where possible by thinking about what we buy and how we use it.
- Re-use wherever possible by trying to find a second life for items; especially paper and office stationery.
- Recycle wherever possible, all paper, card, plastics, glass and tin.
